The 2006 election issue

we all know by this point what the main issue during the 2006 elections will be.....Immigration. But lets be honest this is not an immigration issue this is a fear and racism issue. we have to the north the largest un-protected border in the world. There are several thousand miles where nothing is stopping people from crossing over our border with Canada, not even natural barriers; rivers, mountains. Just a friendly marker or two.

 

 

Now lets consider our southern border, Barbwire, hundreds of square miles of desert, armed guards(and civilians), rivers, Etc.. slightly more daunting wouldn't you say.

 

 

 

 

If you wanted to cross a border safely and undetected which would you choose?
But hold on The 9/11 hijackers came into this country legally, with visas for Christ sake. This is not an issue with border safety 5 years after our last domestic terrorist attack, this is an issue of fear, and the Neo Cons are masters of harnessing the American fear and riding it to power.

The last people who want Terrorist crossing the border between Mexico
and The US are Mexicans. They know that the border would be snapped shut faster than a bear trap, and with it their hopes of a better life.

Furthermore if you want to see this country and its economy shut down, deport those infamous 11 million Mexican illegals in the states. you will have a hell of a time getting food cooked in a restaurant, meat delivered in your grocery, fruit in your home, or your lawn mowed. This country depends on the work of Latin American immigrants.

don't let the power wealthy use the immigration issue to scare you the way they did with duct tape and plastic sheeting. This is not an issue of security, its an issue of fear and racism.
